Summary In a desperate attempt to stay in canon, Season Seven happened exactly as it happened. And so did everything up to Angel 5.08 – Destiny. So therefore, a quick recap is required. In Buffy 7.22-Chosen, Spike died to save the world, using an amulet given to Buffy by Angel to apparently (if I interpreted right) channel his soul into something like sunlight, which of course burned him to a crisp. This amulet was returned to Wolfram and Hart, the evil law firm Angel and Company now run by someone, probably a newly tattooed Lindsey. When Angel opened the envelope containing the amulet, Spike was reconstituted from it. Except he was a ghost. In Destiny, Lindsey made Spike corporeal again. Spike and Angel had an ugly fight, and Spike beat the hell out of Angel, and won… warm Mountain Dew. Anyway, the reason I’m giving all this spoilerish background is so everyone knows where this story starts. Other things I plan to do that mess with canon: Dawn and Spike reconciled at some point in Buffy Season Seven; that's covered in "Feeling This". Dawn’s birthday is some time over the summer, meaning she’s seventeen at the beginning of this story. She’s in England with Buffy. She’s jumped to grade twelve, taking make up courses and tests over the summer to get her grades high enough. And Spike and the big cat are friends. If none of these things are too out there to handle, read on… This is an Epic... Long, long, long. With books and everything. So be prepared. ANOTHER QUICK WARNING. Some of the second part of this story is heavy Spike/Harmony and Spike/Fred and possibly Spike/OC.
